Human beings have developed lot of vision except a blind spot in his perception when it comes to the matters of belief. Now a days these rae not at all beliefs. These are fantasies, not in lesser degree than any hollywood action movies. These blidspots in our perceptions are called confirmation biases.Jerry Hall once said " I love mysticism, its such a fun". I think you are writing jokes here in posts. And, mysticism and exaggeration always go together. And in what way these semi lucid, crazy ideas will help the humanity and its problems?

I agree, and would also throw superstition into the mix. I have seen too many people confuse belief for fantasy, although I guess one is free to believe their delusions.
I think too, we would have to define what a belief is. Maybe that is more the crux of the issue? Is it merely something one chooses to assume is true, regardless of any evidence that may support or deny it as valid?
And, let's take for example, religious belief in a god. This is a huge global belief. There is no concrete evidence gods exist, so is this belief a fantasy? Or is this faith? If faith, how does it differ from belief? Or is faith a fantasy as well?
Personally, I think beliefs are choices we make according to what makes our psyche feel safe and secure, and I think fear is the biggest impetus for grasping onto beliefs. In the end, truth does not depend upon what I believe or don't believe. Truth exists despite my ego's "beliefs" to the contrary.
